The Big Game Crew took the better part of the week off to prepare, get ready and set up for the 12th Annual Fluke Til Ya Puke Fishing Tournament. Despite the small craft advisory and fog, 1116 anglers trudged out into 5 ft. slop for their chance to take home over $50,000 in cash and prizes.
Most everyone we spoke to that weighed fish said the fishing was a slow grind, with a hand full of guys doing well. The guys and gals that did catch, caught Big! Here are the list of winners and pay outs...

Fishing Report June 12

This past week we had a mixed bag of inshore trips as well as the first offshore trip of the season.
The fluke bite has been hit or miss with some trips doing very well while others struggled to get them to bite. Nice Sea Bass have been cooperating to offset the slow Fluke days.

The back side of Block is loaded with sand eels with plenty of schoolie bass and blues mixed in. All you can catch on the troll, with some signs of some larger fish up to 40 pounds showing up on the reef.

Offshore - Saturday we went out searching for Bluefin Tuna with no luck. After a few hours on the troll, we switched gears and loaded up on Blue Sharks taken on spinning gear which made the day.

No trips scheduled this week until Saturday as we get Point View Marina Ready for Fluke Til Ya Puke. All Big Game Boats will be sailing for the Fluke Til Ya Puke Tournament..

June 5 Fishing report

The Fluke bite remains hot with a boat load of keeper fluke this past week and weekend. The 18" - 18 1/2" Fluke population is thriving, as the quote of the week was "Would have been a kepper last year..." lol
Tons of small striped bass with some keepers mixed in with a ton of Blues and some nice sea bass as well. Big Game Sport Fishing is running daily, with 3 boats to choose from. Call Brian 401-243-7046 to book today or visit our website at www.biggamefishingri.com
